Highbury News
The penultimate clash of the regular season saw Highbury’s illustrious first team take on the might of Mitcham 2 in a must win game. The unseasonably warm weather meant that Score’s usual arctic climate had been replaced by more temperate conditions and I for one soon regretted wearing my lycra leggings despite the obvious aesthetic advantage.
Training this Thursday will be at the usual time and place 7.30pm at Acland Burghley. However, with the school being closed you will have have to use the front entrance and speak to the security guard (just say we are using the top pitch to train) to get in.
Direction: If you’re coming from the tube station, just take the first road off the left when you get to the school, rather than the second…if you’re coming from the other direction, you’ll have to walk around the school to get to the front entrance (you can’t miss it, just look out for the big sign saying Acland Burghley School”).
The trials are back and they are starting on Thursday 2nd September from 7.30 to 9.15 at Acland Burghley School for 4 weeks. We will soon send an email with more information about the name of the assessor(s) and the evaluation process.
Thanks for your votes about the venue; we would like to remind you that training sessions will take place on Wednesdays at Petchney Academy in Hackney from the 6th October 7pm to 9pm.
We are currently working on a new version of the website. Please accept our apologies if you currently can’t find a lot of content and the latest information about the club. The new website should be live mid September but in the meantime please check our twitter account and the Google Calendar (below) to find the latest information.
