The game started with a strong Highbury 1 team facing Mitcham who have recruited ex Highbury player Michael Grayer in the transfer window for an undisclosed fee. The game started reasonably briskly with both sides having a few opportunities to score but no-one managed to do so, that is until Michael drained a mid range shot to put Micham in front. Neil then responded for Highbury, putting away a short shot off of a free pass that didn't quite go according to plan. Rosie then drew a good penalty after being held back from a running in shot, and Ben (who had Michael as his opponent) calmly stepped up and converted the penalty. Micham immediately responded with 2 quick goals, the second of which was a long shot from Michael who continued to cause headaches for Ben. Julia was having none of this and converted a cheeky runner to bring the scores back to 3-3. After this there was a long period of stalemate on the score sheet, and at one stage Micham were down to 7 players as Michael had to come off due to a contact lens problem. Micham managed to break the deadlock through one of their girls so Highhbury called a time out to regroup. It worked as Ben fired up his shooting boots scoring a long shot but Micham just managed to score again before half time so they took a one goal lead into the second half.

In the second half, Ben scored a short shot then a long shot as he got the measure of Michael followed by a trademark Neil jumper. This set up the victory with the following 4 goals out of 5 going to Highbury as 2 Ben long shots and short shots from Julia and Neil closed out the second half, outscoring Mitcham 7 goals to 1! A well deserved win for the team who all played well in support and unselfishly provided the assistance for Neil, Julia and Ben to score all Highburys goals. Final score 12-6
